Begin the tour from Hanoi to Mai Chau, a beautiful valley in northern mountain, spend a night on a stilt house and enjoy the traditional music and local cuisine. Then move to Cuc Phuong National Park, engaging cultural and wildlife heritage and enchanting scenery. Also visit Tam Coc, considered as Halong Bay on land because of its beauty and charm. Sitting on boat Tam Coc, you have a good chance of viewing the scenic beauty of huge rocks standing along river and scattered green rice fields, which are all combined to form a poetic painting of the countryside.

Morning pick up at your hotel and leave Hanoi, we head west to Mai Chau valley, enjoy spectacular view of landscape on the way, have break for photographing. Arrive in Mai Chau around noon. Have lunch and relax.
Afternoon, we go on a walk or bike for 2 hours to visit Lac & Poom Coong villages. See terraced rice paddies and small villages, discovering the natural beauty of the valley and encountering the culture of the ethnic minority Thai people. You will have chance to see “Tho Cam” – a unique textile product of Thai people, meet and have talk with the friendly local people. Have dinner with local family and enjoy the traditional dance performance and drinking wine from the bamboo tube (subject to availibility).
Stay overnight in the home of Thai hill tribe/bungalow/resort.
After breakfast, depart Mai Chau to Cuc Phuong national park with stop over on the way for taking photographs of Vietnam peaceful countryside. Arrive in Cuc Phuong, start to visit Centre of Endangered Rescue.
Have lunch at restaurant.
Afternoon keep trekking to discover the variety of fauna and flora of the forest in fresh atmosphere to the Tetrameles nudiflora (Sequoia) 1,000 years tree and primitive man cave. Checking into your bungalow, we will have free time to walk and visit the wildlife around in the evening.
Have dinner and stay overnight in Cuc Phuong National Park.
One hour drive (35km) from Mai Chau takes you to Pu Luong natural reserve, a spectacularly scenic national park. Get ready for a greak trek.
Walk down the valley to reach Don village – the epicenter of Pu Luong. The easy road through the vast terraced fields will get you excited. The stunning ambiance slowly appears in front of your eyes. Keep going and you will find a small path to Uoi hamlet. Looking down from high, you will see the hamlet lies humble at the foot of the grand mountain. We are sure that the landscape will captivate you.
Continue walking down to the local houses, and you will take time walking (or motorbike) at Lan village, with 100 households. Go sightseeing around the village, cross the paddy fields, contemplate farmland, cool streams, ducks paddling in meres, and get to know the locals there.
Back to your homestay, have lunch and spend the night in Pu Luong.
Leave for Van Long (Van Long wetland reserve), a perfect venue for you to relax and let your mind wander among the diverse limestone features of Van Long nature reserve, then take a boat trip for 2 hours rowing along this beautiful wetland of Van Long Natural Reserve, enjoying spectacular scenery surrounded by rice paddies and towering limestone mountain peaks. Continue to Tam Coc in Ninh Binh, check in your hotel/homestay and have lunch at local restaurant.
Afternoon visit to Hoa Lu, formerly the capital of Vietnam during the Dinh and early Le Dynasties which however has left its legacy in the form of two small temples, each one nearly a thousand years old. After a short drive we visit these two remaining structures, dedicated to the Dinh and Le rulers, and then climb 200 steps to the top of Ma Yen Mountain for a fantastic view over the surrounding areas.
Start the day on a bike riding through beautiful countryside to Mua Cave, climb up Hang Mua for the stunning view of Tam Coc area with mountain range, rice fields and waterway.. Then move to Tam Coc, which is known as “Inland Halong Bay”. We take a boat trip on a river through the quiet and peaceful landscape of rice fields surrounded by limestone formations to the grottoes of Tam Coc.
Check out your hotel and have lunch at restaurant before driving back to Hanoi. End the tour at your hotel.
