Roles and responsibilities

Web content editors are responsible for planning, creating, editing and publishing information on websites. Work in company communication departments or external organizations, such as web design agencies, IT consultancies and media companies. Content editors may produce material for publication on websites or on the public social media.

Skills, Qualifications and Attitudes

  • Have excellent writing and editing skills, with an understanding of the special requirements of writing for the Travel Web, such as the use of keywords, hyperlinks, navigation and the importance of brevity.
  • Have a good eye for detail, with excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with contributors, designers and webmasters. And, good organizational skills to collate material from multiple sources and produce web content within tight deadlines.
  • Previous experience in an editorial or Web-related position also is an advantage.

Content Development

  • Work with contributors, such as copywriters, product managers, marketing executives, researchers, photographers, publishers or image libraries to gather material for websites and also write material themselves.
  • Check content for accuracy and ensure that it complies with copyright and privacy regulations.
  • Edit the copy to make it easy to read on a website page or convert longer content to a format that visitors can download.

Collaboration

  • Work with other Web professionals, such as Web designers, developers and webmasters to determine the best way to present information online. Editors may upload content themselves or provide material to designers or webmasters.
  • Contact contributors to find out if material needs to be updated, and they encourage contributors to supply new content to keep the website fresh for returning visitors.

  • Working hour: 8.00-17.00 Monday – Friday and 8.00-12.00 every Saturday.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Handle clients’ bookings and ensure everything is reserved properly, following strictly procedures.
  • Book all accommodation, transportation, restaurant… for confirmed bookings.
  • Communicate and meet with clients when they arrive to make sure the best experience of clients.
  • Ensure clients and sale teams received timely and up to date tour information/documents.
  • Provide additional information to clients (about the destination and products) in order to boost sales;
  • Co-operate with the sale and accounting departments to follow up and ensure the completion of the tour programs
  • Participate to ensure our website content is relevant.
  • Contribute towards any blogs or other related online marketing projects as requested by
  • management & team leader

  • Communicate with clients via Skype, email or phone, customize tour itinerary and meet clients’ requirements
  • Book all accommodation for confirmed bookings.
  • Ensure clients and operation teams received timely and up to date tour information/documents.
  • Provide additional information to clients (about the destination and products) in order to boost sales;
  • Co-operate with the operation and accounting departments to follow up and ensure the completion of the tour programs

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and collect tour documents including tour itinerary, feedback form, suppliers’ contacts and
  • other related requirements for the tour
  • Study, check and research for required information related to the tour such destinations, spot of
  • interest…etc
  • Reconfirm the services with related suppliers such restaurants, hotel, driver…etc
  • Welcome, pick up customers at airport, hotel or at appointed places
  • Provide general information, explanation regarding tour destinations, visiting sites as well as culture, country facts, local tradition and other related to tour requirement
  • Ensuring that the tour is running smoothly for individual members of the group; ensure compliance with company policy or tour regulations
  • Manage the tour following Responsible Travel philosophy

Knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Extensive knowledge of country history, local culture, tradition as well as other facts
  • Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to do thorough research
  • Good crisis resolution
  • Good customer service skills
  • Knowledge of a second language is an asset
  • Can work independently and with a team

Qualifications and experience

  • Efficient communicator in English/French
  • Good knowledge of destinations and general knowledge of the country
  • Undergraduate degrees, specialized in Tourism would be an advantage
  • Tour Guide certification
