Day 1 Arrival in Hanoi

Arriving at Noi Bai airport in Hanoi, welcomed and driven to your hotel. Time to relax after your journey.

Evening, enjoy the savor of Hanoi street food, take a walk through Hanoi’s Old Quarter street markets with a local guide who’s passionate about food, and discover the exotic flavors of Vietnam. Take your pick from traditional Hanoi Pho (beef noodle soup), Nom (green papaya salad with seasoned beef), Banh Goi (pillow-shaped rice pastry with minced pork and mushroom), Banh Cuon (hot rice paper with pork and fried onion) or Bun Cha (fresh noodle with grilled pork)…

Day 2 City Tour Hanoi

You will have the whole day to explore in depth the capital city of Hanoi. Beginning with a visit to Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum. This imposing monument, was constructed from marble and granite and takes the form of a stylized lotus (closed Mondays and Fridays). Also visit nearby Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts and the One Pillar Pagoda, a symbol of Hanoi. Continue on to the ancient Taoist Temple of Quan Thanh, where lies the genie protector of the city (or Tran Quoc Pagoda located on the shores of Lake West). Next visit the Temple of Literature, a structure dedicated to Confucius, constructed in 1070, the compound soon became first Vietnam’s university.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, where you will have the opportunity to sample some regional delicacies.
Afternoon visit to the renowned Museum of Ethnography (closed Mondays), which houses an interesting collection of artifacts relating to the mosaic of ethnic groups that inhabit Vietnam.

Back to downtown for refreshment by Hoan Kiem Lake, visit Hoan Kiem Lake (Restored Sword Lake) with Ngoc Son Temple before relaxing seat on cyclo tour through the Old Quarter, also known as the 36 streets which have always sold the same wares, this bustling area of narrow streets is home to literally thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers. It’s a great place to explore with plenty of photo opportunities.

Finish the city tour Hanoi with a stop at the food market in Hang Be street. Free for a stroll along the boulevards of the old colonial quarter where you can view some of the best French architecture.

You might opt for a street food evening tour and a performance of the traditional water puppet show.

Day 3 Hoa Lu - Tam Coc - Halong

Morning head out for Hoa Lu – Tam Coc in Ninh Binh (2 hours driving). Enjoy beautiful roadside scenery on the way. Arriving in Ninh Binh city, first pay a visit to Hoa Lu – the ancient Royal Capital of Vietnam, learn about history and culture of ancient Vietnamese.

Continue to Tam Coc and have lunch at a nice restaurant, sample local delicacies.
Then board a small sampan to visit Tam Coc which means literally “Three Caves”. With Halong type views of majestic limestone cliffs and mysterious yet inviting caves, as well as countryside landscape like peaceful streams, rice paddies and green fields. This is really a relaxing experience and sightseeing on sampan boat trip of Tam Coc, a very good opportunities for photo lovers.

After that, your choice for a short biking trip around the countryside of this beautiful area.

Then depart for Halong bay, check in your hotel in Halong city, free at your own leisure.

Day 4 On board cruise Halong bay

11.00 Check out your hotel and depart to Tuan Chau marina.

We then board on a traditional wooden sailing junk for a cruise through the limestone cliffs and emerald waters of Halong Bay, giving us the chance to take in the stunning scenery of this World Heritage Site, enjoy the beautiful limestone seascape with Fighting cock, Dog Rock and Incense Burner. Halong bay is an excellent example of a Karst landscape with its 2000 islands created by a complex chain during millions of years of geological movement.

Lunch will be served on board with sumptuous fresh, local seafood.
Afternoon enjoy a swim and kayaking to explore some of the limestone caves in this area. When the sun comes down we drop anchor for the night nearby a remote island.

Day 5 Halong bay - Hanoi - fligth to Hue

Watch sunrise on the misty bay, take part in Tai Chi class. Continue cruising around the bay and enjoy the impressive views of Bai Tu Long Bay, Bai Tho Mountain and the city overview, a close up view of stunning limestone peaks while having full breakfast (Brunch).

Disembark at Tuan Chau harbor and drive to Hanoi Airport for boarding flight to Hue.

Pickup and transfer to your hotel in Hue, free at your leisure, stay the night in Hue.

Day 6 City Tour of Hue

A day of exploring Hue’s famous royal tombs and garden houses. Beginning on boat cruise down the peaceful Perfume River, taking in the endless surrounding greenery. Hop off at the pier to visit the Thien Mu pagoda, a tranquil pagoda on the banks of the Perfume River and transfer to the tomb of Emperor Khai Dinh. Admire the unusual combination of architecture that blends a traditional Chinese past with a modern Western future. Then, continue to Minh Mang Tomb to explore the opulent and exotic resting place laid out in formal Chinese style.

For lunch, feast on a vegetarian meal prepared by nuns at Dong Thuyen Pagoda, a temple located on the top of a hill with a fantastic view.

Then continue on to Thanh Tien Village, known for its 300-year history of crafting paper flowers. Meet one of the local villagers and learn how to make your own ornate paper flower. Finally, visit one of typical Garden House of the traditional 19th century Hue residence and listen to the stories of the owner’s royal heritage before returning to your hotel to enjoy the rest of your evening.

Day 7 Hue - Da Nang - Hoi An

Morning check out your hotel and transfer Hue to Hoi An (3,5 hours driving). On the way to stop for sightseeing at the high mountain pass of Hai Van, Lang Co beach – the lagoon far below with Da Nang spread out.

In Da Nang, you will have a brief look at the remarkable Hindu statuary in the Cham Museum before leaving for Hoi An. Checking in your hotel and rest.

Hoi An is a former busy trading port between the 16th to 18th centuries. Today Hoi An is well-known for its restored architecture, homemade silk, expert tailors and delicious food. You will take a walking tour around to visit the former merchants’ homes – Hoi An old town, Chua Ong Pagoda, Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, Tan Ky House – a 200 year old ancestral house and stroll across 17th century covered bridge built by Japanese craftsmen and finally the colourful riverside market Hoi An. You also see a numerous art galleries and tailor shops, get some made-to-order clothes if you like.

Dinner suggested for a street food tour in Hoi An to discover the flavours and dishes that make this town and its cuisine so unique. Alongside an expert local guide, your journey introduces you to the stories behind Hoi An’s most iconic dishes at the town’s most famous eateries.

Day 8 Cham Island Tour

Morning pick up at your hotel to the pier in Cua Dai beach. Get on speed boat and depart to Cham Island (30 minutes). Walking around Lang village of Cham Island, discover daily life of local fisherman as well as the history of the island. Visit to the Marine Protected Area, the boat shelter, Hai Tang pagoda, traditional fishing village and the local market.

Then get back on board and go swimming and snorkeling (or scuba diving available upon request) to see the coral reef and biology system of Cham islands. Then transfer to Bai Ong beach to have lunch at local restaurant.
Free relaxing on the beach or go swimming. You can join basket boat or trek along the coast as well as exciting water sport activities.

Return the mainland. The driver awaits and transfers you back your hotel. Free at your leisure.

Day 9 Hoi An - My Son - Da Nang

Morning depart to My Son sanctuary which was once an imperial city during Champa dynasty, between the 4th and the 8th centuries. My Son was the site of the most important Cham intellectuals and a religious center.

My Son sanctuary, visit the ruins towers of Cham people and learn about of architecture of Cham civilization. Spend about 1.5 hour to see a large complex of religious relics that comprises more than 65 architectural works. In 1999, UNESCO labeled the Cham architecture in My Son as a World Cultural Heritage Site. You will also have chance to enjoy the traditional Apsara dancing of Cham girls.

On returning trip, we take a boat trip along the Thu Bon river, and disembark sometimes to visit the handicraft pottery village located a long the riverside. Boating back to Hoi An old town. Check out your hotel and depart to Da Nang. Stop to visit the Marble Mountain, here you will discover the stunning natural caves of the mountain and enjoy the beautiful view from the top of the mountain. You also visit the mysterious pagodas and the sculpturing village.

Day 10 Da Nang - Nha Trang (flight)

A short flight takes you to Nha Trang, a coastal city at the center of a large bay with offshore islands. Nha Trang has been considered as heaven of beaches. There’s plenty to see and do, a vast sandy beach, good range of restaurants, hi-end resort, boat cruises, cultural sites and something for everyone especially those on family holidays.

Spend your leisure time relaxing at the beach of Nha Trang.

Day 11 Nha Trang off-shore Island

We board a boat for a day trip around the coastal islands of Nha Trang Bay, stopping on the way at a local fishing village to observe the island life. Today we also have lots of time on the blue clear water enjoying swimming and snorkeling or lazing on the beach. Mun Island is the best island for snorkeling and diving where you can see lots of lives colorful corals and fish. You will also be able to see caves in which the sea swallows make their nest.

Get back in town late afternoon and visit the Long Son Pagoda and the impressive Ponagar Cham Towers, which are overlooking the colorful fishing port.

Day 12 Nha Trang Beach

Free at your own leisure relaxing on beautiful beach of Nha Trang or make your trip to Vinpearl to enjoy the amusement park and island escaping.

Day 13 Nha Trang to Ho Chi Minh City (flight)

Morning transfer to Cam Ranh airport for flight to Ho Chi Minh city (HCMC).

Upon arrival in HCMC (or also known as Saigon), your guide will be waiting to transfer to your hotel.
Start your tour of Saigon with a visit to the War Remnants Museum, you will see the story of the city’s darkest and most tragic hours during the Vietnam War.

Then stroll down follow Dong Khoi Street, which figured prominently in Graham Greene’s famous Vietnam novel, The Quiet American, as Rue Catinat. The walk ends at the Saigon Opera House. From a bomb shelter to housing the parliamentary Lower House, the Opera House has had an interesting history.

Evening street food tour to sample Saigon best authentic street local food. Start at Ben Thanh night market where you will have a chance to sample more foods and snacks as well as the many exotic fruits found in Vietnam. You can taste of as many different kinds of food as possible, our suggestion is that taste a little bit each place, then try other food on the go. You also learn from the tour guide’s stories about the ingredients and history of Saigon’s food culture and southern Vietnamese specialties…

Day 14 My Tho - Ben Tre in Mekong delta

Exotic life in Mekong Delta will value your stay in Vietnam with unforgettable memories, unique experience and chance of communicating with such friendly and hospitable local.

We start the tour early morning, go ahead to My Tho where will expose the colorful outskirt life, picturesque rice fields along the journey. Upon arrival, take a boat trip on Mekong River with various stop at the villages (islets), visit the authentic life of the local at a coconut candy workshop, learn how to make coconut candy. Continue walking on the village’s road and ride a horse-drawn carriage along village road to the next stop and taste fresh honey and seasonal fruits while listening musicians perform traditional folk music.

An adventurous sampan ride in palm shading creeks will be the next experience of the riverside region to the Turtle island, a beautiful natural spot. Sit down for a delicious traditional lunch with the Mekong Delta specialty – Deep fried elephant ear fish and many local delicacies.

Return to Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon. If you are interested, stop on the way to visit the Vinh Trang Pagoda, one of the most beautiful ancient pagodas of the Mekong Delta.

Day 15 Cu Chi tunnels and Saigon City

Morning pick-up at your hotel and head out for Cu Chi tunnels – used to be a VC base during America war, a network of legendary tunnels. Watch a short introductory video showing how the tunnels were constructed. Also on displaying are various man-traps and the remains of an American tank as well as numerous bomb craters made by 500 pound bombs dropped by B52 bombers. We then spend the next hour exploring the maze of tunnels to see the first hand how the Vietcong communists were able to survive in this underground network.

For those who are interested, there’s even an opportunity to fire off rounds from an AK47 or MK16 at the nearby rifle range (option only, fee not included).

Return to Ho Chi Minh City and have lunch at restaurant, enjoy delicious local food.

Afternoon Saigon city tour begins at the century-old Reunification Palace, which witnessed the growth of Ho Chi Minh City during peacetime and throughout the Vietnam War until its end in 1975.

Continue to the nearby French colonial area, including a stop at the impressive Saigon Notre-Dame Cathedral, discover the magnificent neo-Romanesque architecture as you take in the tranquil atmosphere inside. At the opposite Central Post Office, one of the oldest buildings in Ho Chi Minh City, learn about this significant landmark – the busiest post office in Vietnam. Time permits, visit Ben Thanh Market, a lively market in central District 1.

Day 16 Ho Chi Minh - Departure
