Itinerary

Day 1. Hanoi Arrival

On arrival at Hanoi airport, pick up and transfer to hotel in Hanoi. Check in and take time to relax after your journey.

Afternoon tour of Hanoi start to visit the Temple of Literature, then move to the West Lake and pay a visit to the oldest pagoda Tran Quoc. Continue on to Hoan Kiem Lake and the French Quarter (Old Quarter Hanoi), walk around Hoan Kiem lakd, The Huc Bridge and Ma May ancient house. A cyclo ride tour around the Old Quarter to experience the exciting local daily life of Hanoians. Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea at an authentic Hanoi corner cafe where you can have talks with local people, exchange cultural way of life.

Optional (quoted separately if require): Hanoi street food tour for dinner. Enjoy the savor of Hanoi specialty – take your pick from traditional Hanoi Pho (beef noodle soup), Nom (green papaya salad with seasoned beef), Banh Goi (pillow-shaped rice pastry with minced pork and mushroom), Banh Cuon (hot rice paper with pork and fried onion) or Bun Cha (fresh noodle with grilled pork). If you are still hungry, try two or three varieties – they are snacks rather than a meal.

Day 2. Hanoi - Hang Mua - Trang An (B, L)

Morning pick up at your hotel to depart for Ninh Binh province (2-hour drive) for our day tour of Mua grotto & Trang An ecosystem. Traveling to Hang Mua, you will wallow in a wonderful landscape of mountain, valley and river. We first climb up hundreds of steps to lead to a temple on top of a hill, the spectacular views from Hang Mua over Tam Coc and Ninh Binh’s stunning countryside are well worth the effort.

Have lunch at local restaurant with some local special dishes.

Continue to visit Trang An Scenic Landscape complex nearby which recently recognized as an UNESCO World natural heritage, get on a rowing boat (small sampan) traveling along the small river with scenic mountain and green fields landscape. Boat takes you to visit cave complex of Trang An: Sang Cave, Toi Cave, Ba Giot Cave, Nau Ruou in mystery and wildness, the scenery of mountain and rivers – Halong on land of Ninh Binh.

Late afternoon, drive back to your hotel in Hanoi.

Day 3. Hanoi - Halong Bay (B, L)

9.00AM Depart for the journey East of Hanoi to Halong, the gateway to Halong Bay.

Upon arrival, board a traditional junk and set sail around this magnificent bay and among thousands islands that jut out of the sea with its spectacular natural environment while lunch is served. This six-hour cruise we will travel further to visit Amazing Cave or Cave of Surprises is the largest cave in Halong Bay. Then enjoy a stop at Titop Island, with its powdery white sand and crystal water; Titop beach is a favorite place for a swim. A steep path leads to a lookout and a small pentagon-shaped pagoda that offers a breathtaking view of the whole bay scenery. 

We then continue cruise to the southern part of the Bay, where we will admire view of many strange-shaped islands, visit floating village of the local fishermen. Continue sailing back to Halong wharf, get on car and return to Hanoi. 

Day 4. Hanoi - Hue (B, L)

Morning, take a short flight to the former Imperial Capital of Hue. This beautiful city is rich in history, culture and ancient temples. Spend the day exploring the ancient Citadel, which is now a UNESCO World Heritage site, before relaxing on a sunset cruise on the Perfume River to visit Thien Mu pagoda with its impressive ‘Heavenly Lady’ seven-story tower. Enjoy Royal traditional music on Perfume River (Hue royal music also recognized as Cultural World Heritage, [optional]).

Overnight in Hue.

Day 5. Hue - Da Nang (B, L)

Morning go on to visit the Tomb of Emperor Minh Mang, in a tranquil setting of gardens and lakes and Khai Dinh Tomb, a blend of Western and Eastern architecture. Return to Hue for lunch and check out your hotel. After lunch, you will take a road trip about 2hrs to Da Nang via Lang Co beach, Hai Van pass which we might stop for a break.

Check-in your hotel and stay overnight in Da Nang.

Day 6. Da Nang - Ba Na hills (B, L)

Pick up and head out to Ba Na hills. Take Cable Car which gains 5 world scores to Ba Na hills station. Stop at By Night station to visit Vong Nguyet hills, Linh Ung pagoda, The Old Villas of French. Continue moving up by cable car to the Nui Chua Mountain – the top of Ba Na range, visiting Nginh Phong top, Le Nim Villas, Orchid Garden… Experience hill climbing train (first and unique funicular in Vietnam) and visit an old French cellar (Debay Ancient Wine Cellar), flower garden Le Jardin D’amour and Linh Ung Pagoda. You should not miss walking on the Golden Bridge amid the foggy hills of the mountain, enjoy the gorgeous view of Da Nang City.

Have lunch at restaurant.

Afternoon: Free for explore the French village or joining games in Fantasy Park – the third biggest indoor games zone in Vietnam with series of interesting games: 4 – 5D film, skiver, The death race, dinosaur park…

15:00 Return to Da Nang city along the Red Beach Bay. Stopover at the well-known Dragon Bridge if you are interested.

Day 7. Da Nang - Hoi An (B, L)

Morning go on discovering Da Nang city, to the Son Tra Peninsula (Monkey Mountain), visit the third Linh Ung Pagoda of Danang, with the highest Buddha statue, and admire the huge Buddha Statue which is the highest statue in Vietnam. You will be amazed at its cool climate there. Then leave Son Tra and travel along coastline street to enjoy beautiful beaches up close. Stop over at My Khe beach and DHC Marina and visit the beautiful Dragon Carp by Han River of Da Nang and beautiful Dragon Bridge.

Continue to Hoi An and stop to visit the Marble Mountain (Ngu Hanh Son), discover the stunning natural caves of the mountain and enjoy the beautiful view from the top of the Marble Mountain. You also visit the stone sculpturing village. And My Khe beach, one of the most stunning beaches of the world.

Arrive in Hoi An old town, we start our walking tour to explore the ancient city of Hoi An highlights with Phuc Kien Communal House, Tan Ky ancient commercial house, Phung Hung Ancient Trading House, Hoi An Market and the must-see Japanese covered Bridge. These spots are considered as typical architecture styles in Hoi An and reflect clearly the cross culture among France, Japan, China and Vietnam… Also visit one of the lantern making workshops.

Time for walking around for shopping and have your clothes tailored. Before sitting down at a local delicacy food store to taste a feature food of Hoi An.

Day 8. Da Nang - Departure (B)

Driver picks up and transfer to the airport for your flight home. End of services.
